Florida Real Estate

If you would like to become a Florida Real Estate Agent there are certain steps you will need to take. First, you will need to know if you qualify to become an agent in Florida. You are required to be over the age of 18 years in order to work as an agent in Florida. You are also required to have an established residency in the state of Florida. You will also need to show proof of a clean criminal record.

When it comes to education you will need to attend real estate training. This will include obtaining a real estate pre-license and taking exams. Having experience as a sales person and obtaining a college degree are also helpful. You may want to visit several local Florida real estate agencies and ask for specific information on who they hire. Some Florida real estate firms prefer their agents have an education in business management, while others prefer their agents are fluent in a second language. Either way you will be learning about business and property management. By learning what the agencies in your area are seeking, you can be better prepared in locating that real estate job.

Requirements for a Florida real estate agent include holding a high school diploma and completing a pre-licensing course for a sales associate that has been FREC approved. This course consists of 63 hours and will cover the topics that are required by the FREC. Once completed, the course is valid for two years. You will also need to complete a real estate agent application along with a fingerprint card and fees required. A grade of 75 or better is required on the Florida Real Estate Sales Associate exam. Once all requirements are completed you will need to submit an RE 2050-1 form. This will activate your license.

If you love house hunting, enjoy helping people, and want a job with flexible hours, then you will enjoy a career as a real estate agent. Find a place to live in Florida today!
